One thing we are looking at on a day to day basis here at RawVoice, is the amount of bandwidth we are using. We move a massive amount of data each day for those that are podcasting on our hosting services.
Few Podcasters understand the true cost of bandwidth, and those shows with large audiences need to thank the shows with the small audiences! Because without those smaller shows their is no way that the podcast with large audiences would be getting the unlimited bandwidth options being offered by several podcast hosting providers today.
While many would argue that a show with 100k listeners should be paying more than a show with 1000 listeners, in the current marketplace of podcast hosting both are often paying the same exact price for service. Thus Podcast Hosting providers are all hoping they have more smaller shows than big shows to stay profitable. It is a delicate balancing act.
Well hope may be in site to allow companies to get CDN download performance with competitive bandwidth pricing. Amazon has announced that they will be introducing a CDN (Content Delivery Network) before the end of the year, and it will be pay as you play.
The current CDN marketplace dictates multiple year contracts, and the per gig charge is dependent on how much media you can guarantee to move. If Amazon does as promised then the extortionist like Limelight and Akamai who penalize smaller companies that do not move as much data, may have to change the way they do business..
Our CDN management was smart, they worked with us and we were able to secure great pricing, they knew over time we would grow traffic and we have. While I am not about to move away from my current CDN as they have been a true partner. If Amazon comes out with highly competitive pricing I may have to step back and take a look at what they offer and go back to them a see if we can get a better rate.
Kudos to Amazon for shaking up the CDN Market it’s about time!

We have been getting emails from podcasters who are either having their exclusive podcast contracts canceled or are choosing to not renew those contracts.
Most have had been in exclusive network agreements for several years and are no longer will be earning the same amount of income that they had before.
Having discussed with those podcasters what they have been getting paid for on comparable advertising buys we feel we are in a position to offer better rates in some programs. When I quote our payment rates, which are been between 4 and 12 times higher than the base rate they have been getting on comparable programs, many feel like they have been sucker punched.
While RawVoice cannot guarantee advertising for all of the shows that are no longer under exclusive contracts, we will work real hard to help them in their transition.
RawVoice is very different in that we do not require any contracts or permanent commitments, and we give 100% of our effort to take care of them while they continue to build their shows on their own.
If you are podcaster looking for a staunch advocate in the space, feel free to join the Blubrry.com community / directory, then fill out the advertising survey in the member management system and we will work real hard in getting you some ad deals.
RawVoice believes in the Podcasting and New Media Space. Our reputation precedes us, and we look forward to working with shows needing some extra help during their transition.

I was showing off the RawVoice Generator Platform to some corporate customers today when they person on the other end of the phone kinda freaked out in a good way!
To say he was blown away about the product was the understatement of the year. Needless to say we are very pleased with the clients reaction.
The RawVoice Generator Media Network Platform which drives ours and our customers podcast portals is a very powerful Podcast Publishing and Syndication Platform, especially when it is tied into our new media statistic service, and soon to be implemented “Podcast Advertising Campaign Management System”.
In final design now the PACMS, will be the first product we will not offer as a white label services due to it being an internal tool we will use with our media buyers, podcasters and the staff here at RawVoice to manage our growing Podcast Advertising Business..
We have added so many features to the RVG that the original video I did a couple of months ago on it’s feature set is now out of date. So in the next couple of days I am going to re-record the video spot.
What excites me the most is in August the RawVoice team made some strategic decisions that allows us to grow RawVoice as a company leveraging the RawVoice Generator Platform.
The team has worked very hard and we continue to be profitable and growth in all of our product lines is as expected. We look forward to continuing to push the bar forward.

RawVoice continues to sponsor Podcamps that we are in attendance at, these events remain a great way to learn about Podcasting and the New Media Space.
The Montreal event should be another great event. The organizers have worked hard to put together a memorable event.
