On Thursday we received a email from a Vendor that needed to get some Podcast Advertising Inventory in play within a couple of days. The amount of Inventory we were asked to move was 4.6 million downloads.

While we have turned on Advertising deals quickly before, their is usually a week or more to get it engaged.

We put the word out on the buy to our 2500 plus podcasters, and because we already have the majority of their shows on our Podcast Statistic Platform along with having detailed show demographic data, we were able to turn on the inventory nearly overnight,

The most important thing is we are putting huge dollars in podcasters pockets each and every month and so long as we are helping those shows do what they do best than all I can say is mission accomplished.

My only hope is that at some point in the near future I can tell potential advertisers sorry we are out of inventory. Until that day happens if you have some dollars to put in the space let us show you how we build amazing ROI for our advertising partners

If you’ve looked at your RawVoice Statistics (PodcasterNews, TechPodcasts and Blubrry Statistics) over the weekend you may have seen some changes and additions. We are in the process of adding additional functionality for paid users. Influenced by Google’s model of providing free and paid services, we will continue to provide free statistics for podcasters who are members of our communities (PodcasterNews, TechPodcasts and Blubrry) and will soon offer a Premium service for those who require advanced features and branding capabilities.

The update to the RawVoice Statistics over this weekend incorporates many improvements to the system. By popular request, the drop down to select from monthly or overall reports has been ordered with the latest date first. The pie charts are now displayed using flash which include roll over tips with percentages. We are now detecting AppleTV in the clients section of the reports.

As of April 1st, user agents that are recognized as web crawlers or web bots are no longer included in the general reports. We are currently working on an audit screen to display these metrics separately.

The Premium service will be available soon. Please keep an eye on this blog for an official announcement.

Very sadly and disappointingly so, one company in the podcast space wants to distance themselves from the word podcast, and those that create user generated content.

Here at RawVoice we embrace podcasters, and the podcasting space. While we understand Audio and Video has been an integral part of the Internet for a long time, only in the past 4 years has it been possible to subscribe to highly focused content that you want to listen to with the added ability to listen or watch that content on your schedule and have that content automatically delivered to your portable media device.

The podcast medium is very strong and rapidly growing. RawVoice and our Podcast Communities and Podcast Networks continue to lead the way in the space by providing podcast creators the tools they say they need to grow their audiences, and measure who and where they are consuming that content.

RawVoice and our associated communities is the absolute best deal in the podcasting space, as we ensure podcast creators have the freedom to do what they do best and provide them opportunities without contracts and exclusivity.

Tenants of our Business

All Podcasters we work with own their show’s content

Podcaster are Never Exclusive with us!

We never touch their programming

We do not put our advertising around their content

We never tell podcasters what to do with their shows

We do provide monetization opportunities!

Content producers have final say in all Advertising offers

We give every show in our community site exposure equally

All shows are represented equally no matter size

We provide free tools to help build audiences

We provide statistic services that are among the best in the space

Angelo Mandato RawVoice CIO will be presenting today at AdTech in San Francisco. The panel he is slated to participate in will be the culmination of several months of work on a podcast / new media measurement standards document.

Over the past couple of months Angelo has lead the Measurement committee at the Association for Downloadable Media. The committee as a whole has come up with a measurements standards document that is being announced and revealed to ADM members and the general public today.

In talking with Angelo today we both understand that this is a first step in laying lasting groundwork that will help media buyers understand that their are standards they should be looking for when working with podcast and new media companies.

RawVoice has been in the new media measurement space Since 2005 and developed media measurement standards that our media buyers trust. A majority of the standards that we and other companies in the space follow made it into this first measurement document.

A public commenting period will begin for all of the ADM documents released today. My team is looking forward to reviewing all of the other committee reports and commenting on them as well, as most of the documents being released today are being seen by many ADM members for the first time as well.

Yepp thats right you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink. I continue to see advertisers getting wrapped around the axel of being leery of user generated content.

Part of this attitude is because of most of the idiotic YouTube video’s. Those of us working in the podcast / new media space understand what content is fit to run advertising in. That content is a far cry from some of the brain dead content you find on many of the video sites.

While the YouTube comments are not entirely fair as their is a 1/2 a percent of 1 percent of content worth advertising in. I will say that I find it baffling that media buyers are hesitant to jump into advertising on Podcast.

Let me think here

Target Audience “Check”

Target Demographic “Check”

Target Age “Check”

Target Region “Check”

Extremely Accurate Reporting “Check Check”

The list goes on and on. So if your one of those Horses that keep getting close to the water, why don’t you dip your head in. Because what you will find is the freshest, coolest water you will ever drink.

Once you have a taste of the ROI this medium returns to your coffers you are gonna want to pull a semi-tractor up and suck up all the inventory.

We have millions of listeners ready to hear your message today. The question is are you ready to really engage them? Sooner or later the fairy tale, vendors are living in, with working with big media will be over.

ceo@rawvoice.com

Oh almost forgot. The vendors we work with totally get it and have been consistently in the coming on three years. If that is not a testament to the space nothing is.
